Those of you who have been following my blog, know from previous posts, how much I love talking to my computer and letting it type for me. Seriously, I dictate just about everything; my texts, emails, blog articles, papers, notes, well, you get the idea. Why, because it’s SO MUCH FASTER and SO MUCH EASIER.
I just discovered that there is a Voice Recognition Add-On for Google Docs, called ‘Voice Typing’, that enables dictation and editing by using simple verbal commands. That’s pretty impressive considering it’s FREE!
I will be the first to admit dictating to your computer does take some getting use to, but it’s well worth the effort.
Long ago, Bill Gates predicted the keyboard would become obsolete. That’s certainly not the case yet, but VOICE RECOGNITION and TOUCH SCREENS are the future of technology. I would highly encourage you to give it a try. If you do, try it for at least a week. You may not decide to dictate everything, as I do, but I’ll just bet you’ll begin to see the advantages.
